Ingredients
  

  • 1 pounds ground pork sausage use plain breakfast-style sausage brought to room temperature
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix such as Bisquick measured and leveled
  • 17 ounces sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated for better melting
  • cup Parmesan cheese finely grated for even distribution
  • 1 teaspoons Italian seasoning dried herb blend
  • 1 teaspoons garlic powder not garlic salt
  • ½ cup whole milk cold or room temperature

Method
 

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and position a rack in the center, then line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the sausage, baking mix, cheddar, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and milk into a large bowl and work everything together until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
  3. Lightly dampen your hands, shape the mixture into small balls about 1½ tablespoons each, arrange them on the pan, and bake until deeply golden and cooked through, about 20–25 minutes.
